Nurse Educator Postgraduate Certificate Overview

Sharing knowledge—general or specialized—with nursing students can be a rewarding and challenging career option for many nursing professionals. If you have a master's degree in nursing, this postgraduate certificate in nursing education provides the opportunity to study the theory and practice of nursing education as well as advanced nursing concepts.

You'll learn to prepare nurses to address health care problems in a variety of ways:

Clinical Practice Experience

As part of the online nurse educator postgraduate certificate program, you will complete a clinical practice experience and work with a preceptor who is an experienced nurse educator in a contemporary health care or educational setting.

Admissions Requirements

A master's degree with an upper-level major in nursing and an approved criminal background check is required. You will need to provide an official transcript that shows completion of your master's degree from an accredited institution, though an unofficial copy may be provided during the application process. Additional requirements apply. Refer to the program-specific policy page in the University Catalog or speak to an Advisor to learn more.
